More Petite Petals

Just popping in to say hello and show one of the cards I did as a Technique class using embossing folders as a window frame.  I can't even remember when I did this but realised I hadn't share this project when going through my photos!  So here we go:

Hmm no I see why I haven't shared!!  The photos aren't the best!  Thank goodness I'm starting a digital online photography class tomorrow!!

Within the embossed window frames, I've stamped my Petite Petals flowers using Blushing Bride ink and then added some leaves stamped in Pear Pizzazz.

Add some dimension with extra flowers, pearls and leaves and the card is done.  Just a sentiment to complete!!

Enjoy xx

Petite Petals sneak peek!

So I just thought I would pop in and share one of the projects from my Petite Petals workshop.  I love this card, you can make it as fancy or as simple as you like.  Either way, it will still look beautiful!

I've kept the card base nice and simple with just Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped on my birthday sentiment and then got to decorating.  Oops, just noticed the card is slightly crooked in this pic, oh well.  At least it's straight in real life!!

On top of a piece of Burlap Ribbon, I've added some flowers punched from Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Baja Breeze (I think).  I just used scraps of coordinating blues to make this card.  Add some pearls and a little bow.  Your card is done.  And doesn't it look pretty!

So if you would like to do the Petite Petals workshop and see the other projects we'll make, just contact me!

Inspiration for this card, came from here.

Hello, Baby

So yesterday I shared a card for a new baby girl.  Today I share a card for a baby boy!  Still using the Baby, We've Grown stamp set.  I am so in love with that stamp set!!

I love love LOVE the little bunny rabbit.  It's the cutest little bunny I've ever seen.  Well, I think so! I've stamped the bunny onto a piece of Watercolour CS and used my watercolour pencils for colouring in.  Oh so divine and so fun!

I've added a little 'hello baby' sentiment and started decorating the main card.  Can you see the cute little flowers I've punched from Coastal Cabana CS.  I love that colour and a great colour to use for baby boys!

I've embossed the bottom of the card with a Swiss Dots Embossing folder, added some Bakers Twine in Pool Party & Whisper White colours, and of course another little cute flower with pearls. LOVE!!  This card was inspired by this Pinterest share.  Love!

So here's what I used:

Stamps: Baby, we've grown & Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks: Memento Black ink & assorted Watercolour pencils
Papers: Whisper White, Coastal Cabana & Crumb Cake CS
Accessories: Bakers Twine, Itty Bitty punches and pearls
Big Shot: Oval Framelits & Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

Sweet Girl

So while my baby has just turned four, turns out I've needed to make a few baby cards lately.  I don't get to make them as often, so I enjoy every moment and chance that I do.

Today's card uses the 'Baby, We've Grown' stamp set.  I truly love and adore this stamp set.  The images are so sweet.  And as I needed to make a baby girl card, the perfect set to use!

I have used Strawberry Slush and Crumb Cake as my feature colours.  The Strawberry Slush is so striking against the Whisper White background!

I've used my (now retired) little hearts embossing folder to emboss the background.  I love those sweet little hearts.  I cut my layered cardstock from Whisper White & Strawberry Slush CS using the Window Frames Collection dies.  I stamped my little shoes in black and then used my blender pens to colour the little shoes using Blushing Bride & Pretty in Pink inks.

I've added a little hearts border using an old punch and added some Petite Petals flowers stamped in Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride, and then cut with the coordinating Petite Petals punch.  Add some pearls and they look so cute.

And last but not least, I added a little baby sentiment 'hello baby'.

So here's what I used:

Stamps: Baby, we've grown & Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks: Memento Black, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink (retired) inks
Papers: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush & Crumb Cake CS
Accessories: Blender pen, punches and pearls
Big Shot: Window Frames Collection

My card was inspired by the Stampin' Pretty version of a little baby girl card.

Kinda Eclectic

Kinda Eclectic.  That's a bit of a mouthful!  And spelling, well, lets say thank goodness for spell check.

So Kinda Eclectic is one of the stamp sets I received back in May when I attended the Stampin' Up! convention.  And now I can share one of the projects we made. This card became my basis for workshop and demo cards!

This card (which I made at the convention) features the new colours of Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow inks.  You can also see the new Blackberry Bliss in the strip of DSP sitting just under the sentiment.  The sentiment was stamped in Black over the typewriter style font which I had previously stamped in Crumb Cake.  Add some punches and bling, and you have a really sweet card.

While at Convention, we also made a stepped up version of the card.  This time you can see I've added extra details with the Linen Thread, a small butterfly punched from Vellum CS and clipped with the cutest little paper clip to the larger stamped butterfly.  We also used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder to add interest.  Who knew!  You could use Embossing Folders for stamping!!

So the final card is the one we made at my Catalogue launch last week. We used Washi Tape from the Project Life set and used a glue dot to add the Vellum butterfly.  Such a sweet version of the original card!

So here's what we used to make these cards (all variations):
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic
Inks: Hello Honey, Crumb Cake, Tangelo Twist, Black & Mossy Meadow
Papers: Whisper White, Crumb Cake & Hello Honey CS, Vellum
Accessories: Butterfly punches, Itty Bitty Accents punch, rhinestones & Washi tape from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack

You can never have too much happy

You can never have too much happy.  Isn’t that the best saying.  Happy.  Everyone has to have happy.  So it was with much pleasure to use this little stamp with the ever so versatile Petite Petals stamp set!

And if you’re wondering what the stamp is from, why it’s from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set!

So, I’ve stamped the sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar, and stamped all the little (or should I say petite) flowers with Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana.  I’ve punched a few of them with the coordinating Petite Petals punch and popped them up with dimensionals.  Now did you notice .. All of these colours are from the In Colours range of 2013 which are still available.  Yippee!!

The card has been layered on Whisper White and Strawberry Slush CS with a layer embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing folder.

To make this card, you need:

Stamps: Yippee-Skippee & Petite Petals
Inks: Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe & Coastal Cabana
Papers: Whisper White & Strawberry Slush CS
Accessories: Petite Petals Punch & rhinestones
Big Shot: Beautifully Baroque EF

Playing with Blendabilities

So, have you played with the new Blendabilities yet?  My lovely friends and customers had their first play on Sunday at my Catalogue Launch.  I'm currently preparing classes for Blendabilities but wanted to share a peek of the card we made.

To help us ALL learn about the new Blendabilties, their uses, properties and techniques... Stampin' Up! have released a number of YouTube tutorials. Be sure to watch them xx

Amazing Birthday

Well, I have to say.  It's time to start sharing projects made with NEW products from the NEW 2014-2015 Catalogue!!

This card was made for my brother's birthday.  Ssshhh!  Don't tell him, I haven't put this one in the mail yet!!

I did turn to my trusty woodgrain background stamp.  How could I not!!  Although this one is more correctly known as the Hardwood stamp (but yes, it makes a beautiful woodgrain image!).

I've used a few layers for my card, including the Hardwood stamped onto Crumb Cake with Crumb Cake ink, my main Happy Birthday focal image stamped onto Whisper White CS with Midnight Muse ink.  I've added banners cut from strips of scrap DSPs in coordinating colours.  Midnight Muse, Marina Mist and Pacific Point (I think!).

I stamped my It's for You image in Soft Suede ink and punched with the coordinating circle punch.  Perfect!

Nothing girly about this card.  This one was put onto a card base of Soft Suede and ready to go.  No girly stuff here!!

To make this card I used:
Stamps: Amazing Birthday & Hardwood
Inks: Soft Suede, Midnight Muse & Crumb Cake
Papers: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist & Whisper White CS, scrap DSPs
Accessories: circle punch

Too easy!!

Happy Watercolour

I just had to share this card!!  I know this set is now retired (sob) but I just love this card design, I love the stamps and I love the colours!!

I've stamped the background with Strawberry Slush ink, without re-inking between stamps.  It creates such a beautiful ombre effect.

I stamped the flower onto of the background stamping with black ink, and then stamped the flower head three times onto a piece of Strawberry Slush CS.  I then cut out one whole flower, and two separate petals, layering on top of each other with dimensionals.  I then used sparkly Dazzling Diamonds for the centre.

Add a sentiment, and a few sequins here and there.  Card complete.  So simple, yet so pretty!

Here's what I used:
Stamps: Happy Watercolour
Inks: Basic Black & Strawberry Slush
Papers: Strawberry Slush & Whisper White CS
Accessories: Gold Sequin trim & Dazzling Diamonds

Bermuda Yellow Thanks

So have you enjoyed reading the new catalogue?  If you haven't seen it yet, you can visit my website and download as a PDF file to enjoy over and over!

So while you're enjoying the lushness of the New Catalogue, I just wanted to share this Thank you card using products from the 'old' catalogue and one which can be recreated with all new products!!

I have used Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry for my colour combination.  Bright and out there colours but work so beautifully!  From the colour richness in the cardstock, the inks and the ribbons, just divine!

I'm sad the Little Leaves die and the Itty Bitty punches are no longer in the catalogue, I used them both all the time.  I'm sure I'll find some more new things to use instead!

I cut the leaves from Old Olive CS and it coordinated beautifully.  I love the ribbon too, I really love chevron!

A little sentiment, a little bling and a butterfly of course.  The card is complete!

So here's what I used:
Stamps: Happy Watercolour & Flower Shop
Inks: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay & Crushed Curry
Papers: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Old Olive & Bermuda Bay CS
Accessories: Brads, Itty Bitty punch, Flower punch & Butterfly punch, gems
Big Shot: Little Leaves sizzlet & Fancy Fan Embossing Folder

We recommend using Whisper White Cardstock with your Stampin' Up! Blendabilities, but choosing any one of our cardstocks will add a unique look to your project.

Scallop Tag Punch Card 2

So yesterday I shared my first version of the popular Scallop Tag Punch Card, so I thought I would give it another go (I had another piece of Pool Party CS to use!!) and see how I could mix it up a bit!

So I opened my Fresh Prints DSP Stack (Oh no, I hate doing that!!) and selected this gorgeous leaf patterned print which used the colours of Pool Party, Soft Suede and Real Red.  A gorgeous colour combo!

I stamped my flowers in coordinating inks: Real Red, Pool Party and Crumb Cake.  I glammed up each flower with some Dazzling Diamonds in the centres - so pretty!

I've added some leaves cut with my Bird Builder punch from Soft Suede CS, added a sentiment and a bow from Crumb Cake Taffeta ribbon and the card was complete.  Really pretty and I really loved the colour combinations too!

So this time I used:

Stamps: Flower Shop & Express Yourself
Inks: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Real Red & Pool Party
Papers: Whisper White,Soft Suede & Pool Party CS, Fresh Prints DSP stack
Accessories: Scallop Tag Punch, Bird Builder punch, Dazzling Diamonds glitter and Crumb Cake ribbon.

And because I love you, contact me and I'll email you the instructions I have bought together from tutorials I have found on the internet!!
